| Lou Korom
Lou was primarily led to be active in this ministry in the early 1970’s by his two sons. He became a contributor to Bill Glass Ministries in the early 1970’s, having followed Bill in his football career and later with the Billy Graham organization. After moving from Akron, Ohio, to the Chicago area in 1974 to become a financial officer at Abbott Laboratories, he continued contributing and began participation in the prison ministry in 1988 and school assembly ministry in 1993. At that time he was nominated to the Board of Directors and to the position of Illinois State Director. Lou retired from Abbott Laboratories in 1993. The past 15 years have been filled with jail and prison events in the Chicago area as well as school assembly programs, primarily in middle schools throughout the Chicago land area. A yearly personal goal for Lou is to reach 20,000 inmates/students with the gospel message. His activity with the Board of Directors has varied from the Executive Committee to the Finance Committee Chair. Lou will retire from the Board in January of 2009. |
