Ontario, CA DOC Thank You Letter

December 3rd, 2008

Dear Teammates,

“Faith without works is dead” … it is difficult to leave home and family to go into a prison or jail to share Hope for the hopeless. You my dear friends defeated all odds, and took down the gates of hell. 150  joined together to form God’s assault team the Saturday before Thanksgiving, and 623 hurting people cried out to God for help and a new life. I am so thankful for you all.  God did great and mighty things even before the event. We needed more doors to open for the ladies, and He opened doors at both West Valley Detention and Glen Helen with great results.

Robert Jimenez, Coordinator at West Valley, had this to say:
“Chaplain Henning was amazed at how much ministry could go on in just a few hours in that jail. He had female inmates come to him and tell him of how they had fallen away from the Lord, but that now they were encouraged by the teammates that came to minister to them. We also were able to minister in a special needs unit there.”

Donna Morris, Coordinator at Glen Helen, had this to say:
“There was a large Christian population in the unit that needed the encouragement and love that the teammates were eager to give. We shared tears, stories, laughter, and music with all of them.  But the most important thing we shared was Jesus! We rejoice with the Angels in Heaven over the 66 inmates who gave their heart to the Lord.”

Darrol Johnson, Lead coordinator at CIM had this to say:
“Starting off my thanksgiving week with a DOC was a blessing for me to see how God was working through the lives of all who were involved.  The Staff were great to work with at CIM and seeing men commit their lives to the Lord was fantastic.  It was a learning experience for me as a coordinator with a few issues but I am sure God wanted me to grow through them to better for the future”.

Please take a moment to pray about your involvement next year … bring someone … more people come into the Kingdom when we have more teammates!  We will be in Fresno, Bay Area, and Northern, CA prisons in 2009. As you know, our monthly support team is called “First Team”. We have enclosed a “First Team” registration card for you to consider and pray about joining this team!
