McAllen, TX WOC Thank You Letter

One of the Freshmen Teammates at the McAllen “Weekend of Champions”summarized hisexperience this past weekend in four words: “overwhelmed…in awe…blessed… convicted”.I think we can all say a great big AMEN!
Never in history have we had 100% of a group … the Bikers have raised the bar! 42 were on the list, and 42 served! One of the facilities also had 100% Teammate service, with the others not too far behind. New enthusiasm, new ideas, new momentum, new Teammates, new records. It is a new year and we are ready for all the challenges and all the VICTORIES. We had over 200 witnessing, armed and dangerous DEDICATES go into 6 facilities. Each one spreading the Good News to the wounded and hurting. 1,301 people cried out “I need you Lord”. I thank God after 40 years of ministry I still get excited when someone steps from darkness into “marvelous light”.
Local Pastors and Prison Facilities have expressed a strong desire to have us back in the Valley next year. You need to begin preparing to do all you can to raise funds and volunteers to help the Local Team make this possible.
Mike McCoy shared with us how we are restoring the families through mothers, fathers, and children all over the country. As I have pondered this for a couple of days, you know, that is a very good description of what we do…restore families. Child Evangelism Fellowship has partnered with Champions for Life in order that we can reach inmate families at home through the inmates. We can now offer to the inmate an opportunity to sign his family up to receive Bible studies, Bibles, literature, etc. Praise God!
I would like to share my heart … CFL must go on after I go to Heaven. The only way for that to happen is for the Teammates to truly take on the responsibility of perpetuating the ministry both by recruiting new Teammates and by funding CFL through “First Team”.
